Nope. Used it on Erik's time attack mustang without issue; plenty of speed at race city with that. You'll be building a box, supported by the rad and bumper, so you really don't need much strength....

I often use Coroplast (basically plastic cardboard). It's cheap, light, and easy to work with. Available from HomeDepot, etc. Aluminum foil tape sticks to it pretty well.
