That's just to outrun a 997GT3RS in a straight line. Minimum standard bro.

We choose to race 944s. We choose to race 944s, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.

Well, here is an expensive box of parts that just needs a set of pin bushings before heading off to a machine shop for assembling. Progress has slowed on this project because of last season's constant clutch changes in the race car and this year's 944 enduro team project. At least I will soon have enough stuff to press forward again. The Arias pistons are always very slow to manufacture and the price increased sharply between the order and the payment because of the plummeting dollar. But they are here now.

Default A couple more close up shots of the pistons

Here are some more pictures of the 9:1 Arias pistons that I'm using.

Default The SCRATH!

I managed to put a scratch in one of the bores while installing one of the pistons. It's enough to snag a nail and it's from the top ring not fully seating when I tapped it in. When I started moving the cylinder up, I heard it click into place... then I noticed the scratch. I don't have the mental energy to strip the block down and have it nikasiled... so I'm running it as is and hoping there isn't too much blow-by. If it's awful... then I get to do this all over again!

That sucks. Gotta hate scratching new things.
