Thanks Chris, the intake plenum doesn't have a flat floor so it's LS1 I think. Pretty sure it is an LS3 water pump, won't work for me so it will get listed on Kijiji and Facebook soon.

Fun at the track as always:

So, years ago I noticed a Japanese coin hiding in the defrost vent at the base of the windscreen. I tried to get it with a magnet but no luck as it wasn't magnetic. Last time I was at the track I pulled the tool box out of the passenger footwell and noticed this down there. The coin! No idea how it migrated down there, but it took many hard corners over many years. Too funny.

So I've got the LS cleaned up to my liking...

I pulled the water pump as its an LS3 version and I need the older F-Body style for my hose routing and radiator choice.

I then made a "special tool" to pull the crank pulley so I can install a fresh seal. I took the crank pulley bolt off with an impact, then used the drill press to put an indent in a smaller bolt that fits inside the crank without contacting the threads. This holds the 3 arm puller in place while it backs off the crank pulley.

Front wheel bearings let me know they needed attention, so things were removed!

Glamour shot of one of my favourite ratchets, a Plomb Pebble from 1939-1942.

Spindle cleaned.

Hub.

Dirty bearings and races. Gross.

Hubs cleaned up, waiting on new bearings to arrive, new wheel studs to go in as well. Hopefully good as new when done.

Chris Miles has a better tool collection than me so he helped install the fresh studs while I have everything in pieces...

Should've used a larger hammer.

Isn't there some expensive over-engineered german device you could've used?
