Finished up the front wheel bearing job on the weekend, all felt well on the test drive. The pictures stopped after this shot of the new bearing races hammered into place since the grease got opened next and things got extremely messy. Not my favourite maintenance item to tackle.

The hubs look great all cleaned up like that. Once you have driven for a bit, pop the caps off and check the tightness of the spindle nut with the washer/screwdriver test.

We choose to race 944s. We choose to race 944s, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.

Progress! Engine is pretty much ready to be pulled. Bellhousing, clutch and flywheel are off the back, torque tube pulled back as far as it will go. Job for last night was to pull the engine wiring harness, came out clean with now wires cut.

If you pull the turbo and downpipe you'll free up a bit more space for the engine pull.

Installed a fresh front crank seal in preparation for installing the new balancer on the LS...

Old seal pulled and area cleaned

Test fitting the "special tool" used for install

Fresh seal installed

Coolant temp sensor arrived that fits the existing threaded hole on an LS head and works with the stock 944 gauge.
