Just way to many cars. They oversold the event, but a big part of that was the way that we did registration. I don't think we actually had to many cars according to the rules. But there was to much of a speed differential.

Lapping is what makes the race weekend from what i've seen and heard. The more lappers you get involved the better it is for the Club racers too.

With castrol raceway being away from the city and also not on an airbase wouldn't it be possible to extend the raceday into the evening more and allow maybe 2 seperate lapping registrations for the day.

Lapping Group 1 (Two 20-30minute lapping sessions in the morning between races).
Lapping Group 2 (Two 20-30 minute lapping sessions in the afternoon/evening between races).

This would allow for twice as many lappers to register and with castrol raceway being able to run events into the evening and the higher track rental cost , justifying later events should be easy.

Lapping sells.. you guys know that so it may be possible to sell it as two distinct groups (even Time attack as one group and Lapping as the other) and you'll probably have many lappers anxious to book for both events doubling the registration fees.
