I should clarify as I seem to contradict myself. Normally the DOV carries into the next three races and I was thinking that would be the two races we just did at The Ridge (spectacular track if you get the chance). Then the first race at Castrol would be the third race for working off our DOV.

ChumpCar Canada and ChumpCar USA are separate now so the penalty laps we earned in Canada stay in Canada and were not applied in the US. So we will be down six laps on both days and it will show as such in live timing usually 30-45 minutes after the race start.

We will be looking to make up a lap on the field every two hours... watch for a blue Mustang in your mirrors...

6 laps on the DOV....I am thinking it was good you folks ran a good part of last year's race with a partial transmission (and still handily covered the field), or your DOV could have been much worse. But from seeing the 944 Tribute Build, and hearing general chatter in the Alberta racing community; there sounds like a few teams that are planning on coming back with their game raised. (us included) Hopefully we / others can be quick enough to make the mustang run hard to make up the laps.

This will be a fun weekend!!

Our DOV would have only been a couple of laps if the silver Integra didn't have to pit at the very end to swap their rear brake pads.

Just a reminder for this race that payment is due May 31 to avoid late fees. $1365 tomorrow, $1565 the day after.

Darn it, I have to correct myself again as I brush up on the DOV rules. It does get adjusted for race length so since we have 6 laps from a 24 and these are double 12's I expect our DOV to be around 3 laps. That gives us a little better fighting chance.

Another Fox Mustang that is being built on the other forum is entered as well so you can add them to the list of entries.

Did everyone notice this update in the Chumpcar Canada rules for 2016?

3.10.3. Neck Brace - Helmet Support: A HANS, NecksGen, Z-Tech or other similar, SFI or FIA approved racing neck brace is mandatory for all drivers. Foam collars are NOT legal.

I probably should have got on this earlier, but does anyone have a good source for a neck brace?

Shawn Bishop of Rallysport is an authorized HANS dealer. You can look for used ones but typically they are not a lot cheaper than new.
