Default What colour is my race car?

Mazda guys...

The previous owner said he used a Mazda yellow for my car and I was hoping someone could identify it. I don't know about the silver stripes either, but they might be Mazda as well.

Here's one with Jed's car, but I don't know what yellow he uses.

We choose to race 944s. We choose to race 944s, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.

Maybe J9 Mica Yellow or TM pop yellow

Its not manly FD yellow, its miata hair stylist yellow!!!

If you want an 'exact' (no match is perfect, paint codes actually have variations, sometimes 20+) match, take a yellow piece of the car off, walk into carlsons autobody supply with it, and they'll color match it if you want to buy paint for it.

/Yellow looks spelled wrong. Yellow
/extra bonus points if you take a huge piece off the car..... i always did a mirror/handle/gas cap

Cool, I've got a new nose panel on the way, so I'll pluck that one off and take it in. It's got both the silver and yellow. I figured I'd need the paint code before I went in.

CYM was something silly like a 7 or 9 step paint job. Lots of depth to it, many layers of flake, etc, etc. If you get up close and stare it sparkles. There were two FD yellows, CYM and then whatever the less expensive and ridiculous JDM version was, I like to call it "sun fade yellow". Your car is solidly prettier than that but not quite fanboy CYM.

In conclusion - I have no idea but wanted to talk anyway because I'm on my sixth espresso.

Source; Pops has owned a CYM FD since 1995 and I have spent many dozens of hours staring at it.

How have we never seen this thing out at an event?! Wasn't there a ridiculously low number of CYM cars made, something like 300?
