Default 2015 Time Attack

The Calgary Sports Car Club Time Attack Director has resigned and this has left next season in flux. I know that a large portion of the participants are from the Edmonton area and I wanted to make sure all options are explored to solve this. Right now is the time when Castrol is usually booked for the coming season and without someone stepping up very soon there is a good chance that there will not be a season. Please, if you are interested in Time Attack get in touch on the CSCC forum.

I can help ... Emphasis on "help" not on "do". At some point I will become very busy with the new car and I know from past experience that event organizer is not my strength.

Oh no! I'll throw my hat in as well as available to help - could assist directly at the track or with things like communications, back-end organizing etc... but the day job keeps me too busy to take a bigger role.

Is there any upfront cost to booking dates at Castrol?

I have no problem helping as well. Not do, doing it all sucks, but u book it, i'll show up to help. Whats help mean though?

From your guys end you need a guy sitting in an ivory tower booking it and handling the paperwork, i dont think any of us wants to handle that part since we're not on CSCC's executive. From the people that I've seen raise their hands i'm sure we could handle all the at track stuff (excluding timing, i think we're a little foggy on setting that up and running it, although someone showing how it is done could solve that i guess) even if the person running the paperwork side had no intention of making the trip to Edmonton ever. Setup, registration, policing idiocy, drivers meeting, instruction, scoring, etc.

I think that's kinda what is being offered here. No one wants to do it all, but I think a bunch of us would be perfectly ok and qualified to run what needs to be done on this side.
