I love my NRG quick release. Had it on and off thousands of times now and it still works like new. It has been banged around a fair bit too.

From what i remember he told me that Sparco looked way nicer and that NRG was "crap" and that i didn't want that. he said what I wanted was for it to look clean and that NRG was not clean looking, even though it was going into a daily drifter i could care less about what my hub looks like. i think the NRG hub looks sick but its just a hub??

NRG makes hubs and a couple different types of quick releases.
This is their gen 2 quick release in black.

To use the quick release you also need to use a hub, like this:

That is EZ for "We only have Sparco in stock that we probably stole out of someone's car".

I think I would just rather have a regular Hub over the quick release just because I don't want the wheel coming out to far from the stock hub.

Yeah, because the Sparco quick release is so "clean" looking. It looks like something I could make in my basement out of an old dryer drum.

I don't doubt that the Sparco unit works fine, but arguing aesthetics between those two is ridiculous. I guess that's why they think the Ronald McDonald mobile looks good. If Sparco's MSRP is $329 US on those I doubt you'd get one from EZ for under $400.

I have a Teqnik quick release in my Track car. It doesn't come out anymore then a stock unit. It also has a key so I can lock the wheel in the car to help prevent any shenanigans at the track where someone borrows it.
