Thanks for the tips Matt. The new gasket we used was a fel-pro MLS. The old one was something we got in a full gasket set from Rockauto. I seem to recall it was a well-known brand name. Will go to Honda next time. Prior to this incident, the head had about 40 min on it after a full refresh - 2 x ill-fated 20 min sessions - 1 spun rod bearing & 1 overheat. We checked as best we could with a metal straight edge and it looked flat.

Looking forward to this. Does anyone have a full list of the teams that have shown up?

Our red 944 is as ready as it's going to be. We found some play in a ball joint during our bolt check and changed out a control arm. The car is a bit quicker than last year as we've got the handling a bit more dialed in, but our outright pace still isn't going to be great. It's nice and easy to drive and sips fuel very slowly. Hopefully it doesn't shake itself to pieces like it did last year.

We choose to race 944s. We choose to race 944s, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.
